Vision 1984

The Marshes of Lincolnshire

Between the tenth of May 1984, which was the day I was born again, until the end of June 1984, I was given several visions. These visions were related to a work of God in others – both unbelievers and believers.

The last vision I received, of six visions at that time – I found myself walking into a field. In front of me, there was a stage facing into the field, its right side being my approach. There were steps up to the stage. I saw a Man on the stage talking into a microphone, speaking to the people in the field. From the angle I came into this field, I could not see any people. I did not hear his words. I walked towards the stage whilst looking at the Man and then ascended the steps and came to him. I reached out and took the microphone from his hands. He drew back, and despite that this action was a seeming contentious one, nevertheless, I knew that what I was doing was not of itself contentious. Neither did he appear to see it that way either.

I then turned to face the field. In front of me, I could see hundreds of small tents. In each tent there was a person. The character of the people in the tents was overwhelmingly that of being young people. They were also the same kind of person. They knew of the Lord and were in that mind. I spoke these words into the microphone:

“That of which you speak, behold He cometh.”

As I spoke these words, I saw that the field was on a coastline or in its vicinity. I saw a headland and knew that the Sea was just beyond it. I saw a small cloud coming round the headland, and it rushed into the field. These things were simultaneous to my words. The Holy Spirit came down into that field, and at the same time, my vision in sight ended. I could then hear the cries of those who were in the tents as they were brought into conviction and an understanding through the Holy Spirit. Their cries and responses went on for a few moments.

Then the vision ended.

In 2018 a small number of believers began meeting as a church under the name New Beginnings Life Church (The Marshes). We have certified to the Registrar General as a place of public worship, number 84896 (Reformed Calvinist) and we have received ELDC full planning consent N/113/02263/18 – a use falling under Use Class D1: Non Residential Institutions as defined in the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 as amended. We have also registered as a private company limited by guarantee Number 12387071.

Clearly these steps reflect a need for transparency and accountability. They represent our due diligence in having responsibility for a place of public worship. And whilst these measures reflect our duty to uphold a place of public worship, it is our spiritual direction that represents our Christian faith.

What I have personally understood since my conversion in 1984 is that there is no more a burden so grave than the one that requires obedience and trust in the Lord to address the condition of His body (the Church). Many believers agree that the churches are in a deep melancholy of ill effects that has believers unable to genuinely sense how this condition can be addressed. To that end we can say that this website currently represents a different meaning than would be ordinarily visible as a church website. However, I can confirm that the Lord is preparing us as a church and the Lord is sifting us all to make us ready for His purposes. The Lead Pastoral ministry is being worked through, and whilst I do not intend to occupy that position into the future, at the moment I have taken on that mantle.

New Beginnings Life Church (The Marshes) is a work that is intended to address Vision 1984 by establishing a basis for a proper understanding of what the church is as a spiritual body of born again believers. The burden is to be led of the Holy Spirit so that it is the coming Kingdom of Heaven that is always in our sights.
